Join The Celebration, 'Fix A Leak Week'

The Leak Doctor is teaming up with The Environmental Protection Agency to celebrate National 'Fix a Leak Week March 2023 This year’s theme is “Leaks Can Run, but They Can’t Hide”, encouraging consumers to chase down water leaks and protect our nation’s water supply.

Since a water leak just an eighth of an inch can waste up to 3,500 gallons per day, checking for leaks and being proactive, repairing them in a timely manner, will not only save you money on your utility bill, but you will be conserving one of the world’s most precious resource. The Leak Doctor has pioneered the use of water leak detection technologies to locate and stop leaks, with minimum invasiveness.

Take the EPA pledge during Fix a Leak Week by taking these few steps to locate and repair leaks.

• If a family of four exceeds 12,000 gallons per month, there are serious leaks.

• Check your water meter before and after a two-hour period when no water is being used. If the meter changes at all, you probably have a leak.

• Identify toilet leaks by placing a drop of food coloring in the toilet tank. If any color shows up in the bowl after 10 minutes, you have a leak. (Be sure to     flush immediately after the experiment to avoid staining the tank.)

• Examine faucet gaskets and pipe fittings for any water on the outside of the pipe to check for surface leaks.

Some water leaks are easier to locate than others

The Leak Doctor is dedicated to protecting the Nation's water supply by applying the latest technology to locate leaks you can't see, under concrete slabs, between walls, under landscaping and in the pool and spa areas. We also take our responsibility further by pioneering the tools and techniques necessary to get the job done right.
