Does Your Orlando Home Have A Plumbing Leak?

The Leak Doctor usually gets a call from someone in the Atlanta area who received a higher than usual water bill, whether it has been steadily creeping up or it suddenly spiked. Or it could have been the mold growing they noticed growing where it shouldn’t.

We typically tell them to check the history of their water bill and your meter.

The water meter is located outside possibly near the road or next to the house.  You should make sure all the water is turned off in the house.  Then check the water meter. There should be a flow indicator, possibly a red triangle, if it is still moving, you may have a water leak.

If you know where the main water supply to the house is located turn it off, then check the meter. If it is still registering, you know the leak is between the house and outside meter.

If the meter stop registering, you know the leak is somewhere in the house. If you aren’t sure where, it may be best to contact the professionals at the Leak Doctor.
