Do I Need An Orlando Plumber or Water Leak Detection Service?

Timely detection of any type of water leak is vital to the health of your home or business. The longer you wait, the worse the problem becomes and the more it will end up costing you in repairs.

If you suspect a water leak, the question of trying to tackle the job yourself or calling a professional can be a tricky decision.

It is important to understand what you are looking for when it comes to water leaks. This includes:

Higher than normal or inconsistent water bills, whether the water usage has been slowly climbing or a sudden jump.

The sound of water running, even though all the faucets and water using appliances are off.

You checked the water meter and it was still running while all the water on the property is turned off.

Unexplained mold, peeling wallpaper, or blistering paint.

A musty odor in the building, warm flooring, or cracks in the walls.

Detecting the source of a water leak

Water leaks are not always apparent. Though a water stain showed up on the ceiling under the upstairs bathtub, it doesn't necessarily mean that is where the leak is located.

Take for instance one of our recent clients.  They suspected their upstairs bathroom had a leak, because of a water stain on the ceiling. They thought the leak was coming from the drain in the bathtub and cut a hole in the ceiling to repair the pipe. But unfortunately, they did not find the leak. So, they kept looking, cutting an even bigger hole in the ceiling, still no leak.

Instead of causing any more damage, they called the Leak Doctor.  Our advanced technology was able to detect the source of the water leak without breaking into any walls. Turns out the leak was coming from the hose connected to the washing machine, which was located upstairs.

The repair of the leak only cost $10 to replace the hose, but the damage from the homeowner cutting into walls trying to locate the leak cost a whole lot more!!

Moral of the story

If you suspect a water leak in your home, forget all the frustration of cutting into walls and ceilings searching for that elusive leak. Instead, contact the Leak Doctor.
